Carnival Cruise Line is introducing its new ‘Carnival Fun Italian Style’ experiences on its latest ship, Carnival Venezia with future sailings from Port Canaveral, for the winter of 2024-25. Carnival Venezia’s seasonal operation in Port Canaveral will expand the cruise line’s deployment to five vessels, offering guests another great option when sailing from Central Florida.

The ship will reposition from New York with a 12-Day Southern Caribbean Carnival Journeys Cruise, departing on December 6, 2024, and visiting St. Thomas, St. Croix, Aruba, Curacao, and Grand Turk before arriving at Port Canaveral on December 18, 2024. On the same day, it will embark its first guests from Port Canaveral for a four-day Bahamas cruise, visiting Nassau and Freeport, kicking off its winter series, which includes 15 seven-day cruises with rotating itineraries and visits to various popular destinations. The ship will also offer two special 14-day Carnival Journeys cruises.

After its seasonal deployment in Florida, the ship will return to New York in the spring of 2025.

“The sailings we’re opening today will allow us to share this new signature fun with more guests and bring another truly dynamic offering to one of our most popular homeports,” said Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line. “Carnival Venezia’s seasonal operation in Port Canaveral will bring our deployment there to five vessels and give our valued Carnival guests another great option when sailing from Central Florida.”

Sailings from Port Canaveral will include week-long sailings to the Exotic Eastern Caribbean and Exotic Western Caribbean and will feature Western Caribbean cruises visiting Nassau, Montego Bay, and Grand Cayman. The ship will also offer special Carnival Journeys cruises to the Southern Caribbean, with itineraries featuring multiple destinations.

The Carnival Venezia, which can accommodate 5,000 guests, will embark on its first voyage, a 15-day Carnival Journeys transatlantic sailing, from Barcelona on May 29, 2023, and arrive at its new home in the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City. The ship’s inaugural cruise from New York, a four-day trip to Bermuda, is scheduled for June 15, 2023.

From New York, the ship will operate various cruise durations and itineraries until December 2024, visiting 25 ports across 14 countries.

Carnival Venezia, currently undergoing enhancements in Spain, will be the first ship to showcase ‘Carnival Fun Italian Style.’ Inspired by Venice, Italy, the ship’s Italian design features unique architectural elements that distinguish it within the Carnival fleet. Guests can expect familiar Carnival amenities such as Guy’s Burger Joint, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi & Teppanyaki, and the Chef’s Table. New dining options, including the specialty restaurant “Il Viaggio,” will offer regional Italian dishes and drinks. The ship will also provide high-energy entertainment, including Playlist Production shows and special programming for children and families.
