In a video addressed to Royal Caribbean crew members, press, and travel advisors, Richard Fain, President, and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, will be stepping down as of January 3, 2022.
“I wish there were a less impersonal way to deliver this very personal news, but I wanted you to hear from me before the word started to circulate. Royal Caribbean has announced its return to service dates for the remainder of its fleet starting in September 2021. The cruise line plans for its full line-up of ships to be back in operation by Spring 2022.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has increased the travel advisory for any U.S. citizen traveling to the Bahamas, and St. Maarten, to a level four advisory.
This change in travel advisories is due to the Delta Variant of the COVID-19 virus being on the rise globally in recent weeks. According to the CDC, travelers should avoid traveling to these areas for the time being for both unvaccinated and vaccinated travelers, especially cruise passengers.

Royal Caribbean International recently made some changes to its vaccination policy for cruises in and out of Florida.
According to a release put out by the cruise line, for any cruises out of Florida, guests are encouraged to be fully vaccinated; however, if you are not vaccinated or fail to show proof, you will have to pay for a COVID antigen test.
Any children not eligible for a vaccine will receive a free test.
